For over 50 years, our practice has been a cornerstone of the Greater Newcastle community, blending the warmth of a long-standing local clinic with the advancements of modern veterinary medicine. We are deeply committed to animal rescue and have developed a specialized focus on orthopedics, supported by a highly collaborative team environment. Our hospital is a modern, purpose-built facility equipped with advanced diagnostics, including rigid endoscopy, ultrasound, tonometer, and a comprehensive orthopedic setup including TPLO.
My dog became significantly unwell unexpectedly over the long weekend. I was able to get her in immediately and the support and service I received was outstanding. The professionalism from all the vets and nursing staff was outstanding. I am eternally grateful for the lengths everyone went to in accomodating her during her stay. About this role
We are looking for a Full-Time Veterinarian who values both professional autonomy and the backing of an exceptional, supportive team. This role offers the opportunity to manage a diverse caseload while receiving direct mentorship from an experienced orthopedic surgeon.
- Provide high-quality medical and surgical care to a loyal community of pets and owners.
- Utilize state-of-the-art equipment including a vet-tome and video otoscope.
- Contribute to a positive, “can-do” culture focused on continuous improvement and animal welfare.
About you
You are an aspirational veterinarian who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to develop your clinical and surgical skills. You pride yourself on your ability to build lasting rapport with clients through clear communication and empathy.
- Qualifications: Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or an equivalent degree recognized in Australia.
- Experience: Ideally 3+ years of clinical experience, though a desire to grow is paramount.
- Personal Qualities: Strong organizational skills and a friendly, proactive approach to patient care.
