About this role

We’re on the lookout for a confident, compassionate mixed-practice OR smallies only vet to join our dynamic team of six other vets, ten super nurses and an awesome support crew. While we proudly provide services to our clients and community seven days per week, we value a healthy work-life balance, so your full-time week is covered in just 4 days – we actually want you to have plenty of time to enjoy everything our beautiful region has to offer! With a roughly 80/20 mix of small and large animal work (companion animals, cattle, horses, alpacas, birds, small ruminants, etc), your days will be as diverse as they are rewarding.

What you’ll be doing:

• Practising the highest quality medicine, caring for both small animals and livestock
• Consulting, surgery, field work, diagnostics – no two days will be the same
• Sharing on-call responsibilities with the team (approximately once a week)
• Participating in a rolling 1-in-5 weekend roster with support from our experienced nurses
• Developing skills in your special interest areas that also align with our practice caseload
• Working closely with our good-humoured, friendly team

About you

If you are our person:

• You’re a qualified veterinarian, eligible to practice in Queensland
• You’ve got enough experience (3-5 years) to confidently fly solo on weekend shifts
• You balance excellence in veterinary care with exceptional customer service
• You have great communication and organisation skills
• You value kindness, collaborative teamwork and a healthy work-life balance
• You’re happy to be part of a close community, both in and out of the clinic
• A ridiculous sense of humour is preferred

Our offer
