About this role

You’ll join our friendly team as a full-time or part-time small animal veterinarian, continuing the personalised, professional and dedicated care our patients and their owners know us for. We offer on-the-job training and mentorship from experienced professionals, and we’re flexible for the right person, so we’re happy to talk through your preferred roster at interview.

• A typical small animal GP caseload: preventive care, unwell patient consults, vaccinations, routine surgery and dentals
• Minimum of 68 hours per fortnight (four 8.5-hour days a week), with full-time hours available on a 9-day fortnight
• Likely roster: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 8am to 5pm, with Wednesdays off
• No on-call or after-hours work
• Sole charge one day a week, covering the vet RDO
• Saturday mornings (8am to 12pm, 1 in 2 rotating roster) may be reintroduced once our full team is in place, taking hours up to 72 per fortnight, though not in the short term
• Well equipped with dental and general X-ray, and ultrasound

About you

You enjoy being part of a team, you build easy rapport with clients, and you bring sound judgement to every case. You stay organised when the day gets busy, and you’re confident working sole charge one day a week.

• Ability to work well with fellow team members and build rapport with clients
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and balance competing demands in our busy surgery
• Sound judgement and flexible time management for competent clinical case and resource management
• Experience with ezyVET, dental X-rays and ultrasound is highly regarded, but not essential
• 3+ years’ small animal experience
• Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or an equivalent degree recognised in Australia
