About us
At Ingleburn Veterinary Hospital, we have been caring for the pets of our community since 1983. Our hospital is purpose-built, well-equipped, and committed to high-quality companion animal care, with a team that values steady support, practical collaboration, and a genuinely down-to-earth culture. We are proud of the standards we hold, from modern diagnostics and surgery through to the way we communicate with clients and support each other across the day.
Our vets and nurses bring a range of interests across medicine, surgery, and behaviour, and we are committed to continuing education so our team stays current with developments in veterinary medicine and patient care. This is the kind of clinic where good medicine and good teamwork go hand in hand, and where people who care about doing solid work, without ego or noise, tend to do well.
We are a proud member of VetPartners, Australia and New Zealand’s largest veterinary care network, with more than 270 practices and specialty hospitals. VetPartners provides the infrastructure, equipment, and training that empower our teams to focus on quality medicine, the people and pets they care for. With six Veterinary Training Centres and a network of more than 4,000 vets and veterinary nurses, we offer the strength of a national network while keeping the heart of local practice.
Dr Warren was wonderful with our two dogs and they didn’t even flinch in the slightest when they had their needles. He showed great interest in our puppies, was genuinely caring and has a great knowledge about all breeds. The best vet we have found and cannot recommend him highly enough – Nigel B – Google Review
About this role
This is a strong opportunity for a veterinarian who enjoys the variety of small animal general practice and wants meaningful exposure to both routine and more involved cases. You will see a balanced caseload across consulting, preventative care, medical workups, and surgery, with the chance to perform routine procedures regularly while continuing to build confidence in more advanced surgical and diagnostic work.
You can expect to perform 2 to 6 surgeries a day, including routine desexing and soft tissue procedures, with opportunities to be involved in more complex surgeries such as exploratory laparotomies and orthopaedics depending on your experience. With access to digital radiography, ultrasound, a new endoscope, and in-house laboratory equipment, you will have the tools to investigate cases properly and keep developing your diagnostic approach.
Just as importantly, you will be working alongside an experienced team and a skilled nursing group who value collaboration, while still having the autonomy to manage your own cases and clinical decision-making. It is a role that offers support without over-management, and growth without throwing you in the deep end.
About you
You are a thoughtful small animal vet who enjoys combining sound clinical judgement with clear communication and a steady team approach. You care about patient standards, value strong client relationships, and like being part of a clinic where people work well together and back each other up.
You will likely enjoy this role if you are:
- confident building trust with clients and communicating treatment options clearly
- comfortable working across a varied companion animal caseload
- interested in continuing to grow your surgical and diagnostic capability
- a collaborative team member who contributes positively to clinic culture
- confident in routine surgery, with an interest in developing further
- registered, or eligible for registration, with the NSW Veterinary Practitioners Board
- ideally someone with 5+ years of experience, although strong candidates at different stages will be considered
Our location
Ingleburn offers a practical and appealing base for veterinary professionals who want access to Sydney without feeling swallowed by it. It sits within Campbelltown City in Sydney’s south-west, an area the local council describes as less than an hour from the Sydney CBD, with established facilities, services, and access to scenic hills, reserves, and the Georges and Nepean Rivers. Ingleburn Station is also on the T8 Airport & South Line, making public transport access across Sydney straightforward.
For someone looking at the bigger picture of work and life, that means room to build a rewarding veterinary career while still enjoying a more manageable day-to-day setting, with local amenity, green space, and easier access to the wider city than many people expect from Sydney’s south-west.
Our offer
We want this role to work well professionally and personally, which is why flexibility is part of the conversation. You will have the ability to choose your days and hours to suit your lifestyle, within a clinic that respects your time and wellbeing.
Our offer includes:
- competitive salary reflective of your experience
- generous CPD allowance plus study leave
- free access to the VetPartners Training Centre
- wellbeing support, including Fitness Passport and corporate health cover
- discounts at 80+ retailers plus novated leasing options
- paid parental leave
- relocation assistance for interstate or international candidates
We are open to discussing remuneration and overall support in line with your experience, skills, and what you are looking for in your next chapter.
