About us
We are an independently-owned, purpose-built, small animal clinic located in Goulburn NSW. We have a staff of around 14 and pride ourselves on our positive and collaborative work culture. We keep up to date with best practice and technology whilst allowing for individualized care for each of our patients. We are proud to be the oldest established veterinary clinic in Goulburn.
The Southern Tablelands Vet team has been absolutely amazing! My little dog Yogi Bear has been going there and always has a wonderful experience. About this role
Initially the role involves 6-12 months of maternity leave cover with the strong likelihood of ongoing work after this. We are open to both full-time and part-time arrangements and are very happy to be flexible with hours to suit you. Where possible we try to facilitate any preferences and encourage development of any areas of interest including medicine, surgery, imaging, exotics and dentistry.
There is minimal on-call and weekend work required and we are able to be negotiable on this.
About you
We are looking for an experienced small animal veterinarian, but are open to hiring the right new graduate. We are seeking someone with a positive, can-do attitude and a solid work ethic. We have a strong emphasis on client communication as well as collaboration within the team, so strong interpersonal skills are a must.
Our location
The clinic is located in Goulburn NSW, only a short drive from Canberra, Sydney, the Southern Highlands and South Coast. It also offers:
- Great range of recreational activities easily accessible in town – large aquatic centre, multiple parks and playgrounds, and a long river walk
- Plenty of great cafes and restaurants – including the historic Old Goulburn Brewery
- Lots of cultural and historic locations – two art galleries, frequent theatre performances, Rocky Hill War Memorial and Riversdale Homestead.
- Heaps of community groups and local events including the Goulburn Show, the Lilac Festival and the Goulburn Multicultural Festival!
Our offer
- Base Salary: An annual base between $80,000 – $120,000 dependent on experience + on-call allowance
- Relocation: $5000 relocation bonus
- Professional Development: $2000 CPD budget + 1 week of study leave.
- Extras: Generous staff discount policy, 4 weeks annual leave, 1 week personal leave
