As a clinician, it’s great to know that there is an emphasis on working to your strengths – you don’t have to be good at everything. There’s a strong focus on continuing education and we all take an active role in that. We have lots of vets on in a day here, and there’s lots of opportunity to ask colleagues for opinions or, have someone step in if you feel a little bit out of your depth. I really enjoy the fast pace – and it’s really well managed so never feels out of control. We get standard 30 minute consults and with the help of CoVet, our notes are done efficiently so we have lots of time with the clients, and to explore treatment options – Dr Wes
About this role
We currently have a variety of GP veterinarian positions available across our hospitals. In any of these roles, our veterinarians are expected to:
- Hold a degree in Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and current registration to practice in QLD, Australia.
- Deliver outstanding and personal veterinary care to clients and patients
- Manage a diverse caseload across medicine, surgery, and occasional emergency presentations.
- Work collaboratively as part of a thriving, supportive team
- Align with our culture in caring for pets, people, and our planet.
About you
We’re looking for:
- A strong general practitioner
- A communicator who can connect with clients and build lasting relationships.
- A long-term learner who is looking to continually develop their skills.
- A proactive and practical attitude – someone who can find solutions for our clients.
- Leadership experience, or the desire to develop such skills, will be highly regarded.
