About this role

This is a varied and rewarding position with a strong focus on dairy production, supported by sheep, beef, and occasional equine and deer work. You’ll thrive in a role that includes:

• 75% Dairy clinical duties
• 15% Sheep & beef work
• 10% Other clinical duties (equine, deer, and more)
• Building trusted “KeyVet” relationships with farming clients
• Delivering top-tier veterinary care and advice across the board
• Contributing to community engagement and clinic growth

About you

We’re keen to meet someone who loves what they do and brings a strong mix of technical expertise and great people skills.

You’ll have:

• BVSc or equivalent qualification (essential)
• At least 2–3 years’ experience in large animal practice (dairy focus ideal)
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A full NZ driver’s licence
• Great organisational skills and attention to detail
• A passion for rural communities and an interest in business growth

Experience in New Zealand rural practice with a passion for NZ farming systems – is a must. Just as important is your drive, initiative, and love for working closely with farming clients.
