I am incredibly grateful to Oryx Veterinary Team for their professionalism and compassion! I brought them a stray cat Matilda that was very difficult to catch. I couldn’t trap her for more than one week so they came and helped me. She was pregnant and urgently needed eye removal surgery due to the risk of sepsis. Because of the pregnancy, the case was extremely complicated and high-risk. Dr Victoria and Dr Ivan developed a careful treatment plan: they first performed sterilization, allowed her to recover under close observation, and then successfully removed the infected eye a few days later. She stayed hospitalized for two more weeks (over 20 days in total), received antibiotics, daily care, and constant monitoring and cleaning despite being quite aggressive and not easy to handle. ORYX team of professionals managed everything with patience and dedication! Mr Lamine was constantly in touch through WhatsApp and phone calls from the moment I tried to catch her till the day of discharge, sending me updates daily! The clinic manager Ms Alina has a huge heart, she was very kind and supportive regarding the cost for such a complex and long-term treatment. Not every clinic would take on such a complex case. I highly recommend them!
About this role
We are recruiting experienced pet groomers and veterinary assistants for two practical, hands-on opportunities within our companion animal hospital.
As a pet groomer, you will provide professional grooming care with patience, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to animal comfort and welfare.
As a veterinary assistant, you will contribute to patient care, hygiene, organisation, and the consistent daily standards of our hospital.
Both roles involve working collaboratively with veterinarians, veterinary nurses and technicians, groomers, and support colleagues. You will also provide thoughtful service and clear communication to pet owners while helping maintain a positive, professional, and well-organised environment.
About you
You take genuine pride in caring for animals and understand the trust pet owners place in the people looking after them. You are attentive, patient, and dependable, with the confidence to take responsibility for your role and the awareness to notice where you can help.
You will:
- Bring genuine care and patience to every interaction with an animal
- Provide friendly, professional, and thoughtful service to pet owners
- Communicate clearly and work respectfully with people across the hospital
- Take pride in maintaining excellent hygiene and welfare standards
- Be proactive, dependable, and willing to contribute fresh ideas
- Remain composed and organised within a busy veterinary environment
- Have relevant qualifications and professional experience in pet grooming or veterinary assistance
