About this role

Right now, we’re on the lookout for a motivated and ambitious professional to lead from the front – someone who can balance hands-on veterinary care with team leadership and clinic management.

1. Report to a local experienced Chief Vet Officer.
2. Join and receive support from Our Vet advocacy group made of professionals from the network.
3. Be mentored by a broader leadership team focused on delivering the best standard of care and operation.

Your role will involve:

• Leading the team – mentoring vets, nurses, and potential students while building a positive, engaged, and supportive clinic culture.
• Delivering great GP medicine – consults, surgeries, dental, diagnostics, and emergency care, while upholding the highest veterinary standards.
• Being the go-to expert – guiding case management, coaching on best practice, and keeping clinical knowledge current.
• Running the business side – oversee the clinic’s performance (P&L, budgets, stock management, rostering) and help the team hit targets without losing sight of patient care.
• Strengthening client relationships – ensure every pet owner leaves feeling supported, informed, and confident in the care their pets receive.
• Driving growth – contribute ideas, implement improvements, and make sure the clinic thrives financially, culturally and operationally.

About you

To apply for this role, you should have:

• Veterinary qualifications and relevant State registration
• 5+ years’ experience as a Veterinarian
• Confidence working in Sole Charge situations
• Proven experience running a practice and leading a team
• A natural drive to grow and lead a successful clinic
• Solid commercial acumen to balance great care with business success
• A collaborative and approachable leadership style

• Operates Monday to Saturday, 9am – 5pm

Springvale is a busy clinic, currently operated by a team of 4 with an experienced Senior Vet and a fully staffed nursing team. Our clinic presents room for development and growth in the case load presently managed with new client enquiries received weekly. Our clinic boasts a spacious reception area and waiting space, 2 consult rooms, sterile operating theatre, X-ray and Dental X-ray as well as all equipment to run in-house pathology. We also receive regular visits by medical and surgical specialists, allowing the team to manage a broad range of cases; working closely with nearby Hospitals for referrals and overnight stays.
