About us
Victorian Equine Group is a 100% equine veterinary group providing first opinion and referral-quality care across Central Victoria’s key breeding, racing, performance, and pleasure horse communities.
At the centre of the group is Bendigo Equine Hospital, a purpose-built surgical and medical facility located directly opposite Bendigo Racecourse and firmly embedded in the region’s equine precinct. Established in 2012, the hospital is supported by a team of 10 to 13 veterinarians, including surgical and reproductive specialists, alongside experienced ambulatory and hospital-based clinicians.
Our caseload is broad, with approximately 60% commercial and 40% pleasure horses, giving our team exposure to a rich mix of racing, stud, competition, and companion equine work. The hospital provides comprehensive 24-hour care, seven days a week, with a dedicated team of equine nurses and stable attendants supporting high standards of patient care.
Had the absolute best experience at the hospital today, the vets were incredibly skilled and great communication, and the staff so friendly and helpful. My horse and I felt so valued and looked after. Highly recommend – Minda M – Google Review
About this role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Equine Surgeon to join our established team at Bendigo Equine Hospital.
This is a specialist-level opportunity for a clinician who wants meaningful surgical scope, high-quality facilities, and the ability to contribute to the ongoing clinical development of a respected regional equine hospital.
