About this role

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality medical and surgical care for dogs and cats.
• Perform consultations, diagnose illnesses, and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Conduct routine and advanced soft tissue surgeries with confidence.
• Interpret laboratory results, digital radiographs, and ultrasound findings.
• Provide emergency and critical care when required.
• Educate and communicate effectively with pet owners regarding diagnosis, treatment, and preventative healthcare.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
• Collaborate closely with veterinarians, nurses, and support staff to ensure excellent patient care.
• Follow hospital protocols and maintain the highest standards of veterinary medicine and ethics.
• Participate in continuing education and contribute to the growth of the Small Animal Department.
• Key Skills & Qualifications
• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent veterinary degree.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in small animal clinical practice (preferred).
• Strong diagnostic, medical, and surgical skills.
• Confident in routine soft tissue surgeries such as spays, neuters, mass removals, and wound management.
• Experience in emergency medicine is an advantage.
• Ability to interpret laboratory tests, digital radiography, and ultrasound.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Compassionate, professional, and committed to providing exceptional patient care.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent in English
• Eligible for veterinary licensing in Qatar.
